Nancy Wick Update
First, I want to tell you about my visit with Nancy yesterday. Carrie went
with me. When we got there we found Nancy sitting outside in her wheelchair
with Wick and Audrey. What a blessing to see her more upright. She even held
her head up and moved it around once. I thought she seemed improved from
Monday. More in control of her emotions and fears. We stayed with her while
Wick and Audrey left to take care of Biscuit and run some errands. They were
gone about 3-1/2 hours. She really didn't get worried and anxious until they'd
been gone about 2-1/2 to 3 hours. So that was much better than on Monday. I
kept telling her how much better she was doing.
Anyway, now to my request. Wick told me that they had cleaned out a lot of
her art supplies and found several frames from Michaels still in the packaging.
He returned them but without a receipt they only gave him store credit. So he
has a gift card for over $180. He would like to turn it into cash. Could you
mention this at Sea Breeze on Tuesday night to see if anyone would like to help
them by buying it from Wick? He said he would take $150 for it. I don't buy
much from Michael's but I know others do. That's a large amount so maybe a few
would be willing to go together to buy it from Wick and plan a group shopping
trip. I told Wick I would try to find someone to buy it. But I won't be there
on Tuesday night so I thought maybe you wouldn't mind asking everyone about it.
Thanks!
Carol
